Our Murphy's Law Day and The Tattooed Moose!

This photo should say it all but I'm not sure it does.  I'm actually not sure what that stuffed moose is saying!  We had a Murphy's Law sort of day yesterday.  You know the kind.  Anything that can go wrong...will and does.

We were heading to North Charleston for the SC Music Educators Association Conference.  But, before we could even get there, our day was heading down hill.  Fast.  From a long line of jammed copy machines, to a flat tire, to cancelled jury duty, and an enlightening phone call from the people at Worker's Compensation, it was a day and a half all rolled into a few hours.  However, there is always light at the end of the tunnel.  Always a bright side, a silver lining, right?

For us, that silver lining was lunch downtown and some quiet time to stroll our favorite streets.  And, we ended up here.  With a moose head.  Do you find it as creepy as I do?  I'm not really into stuffed animals hanging on the walls but, the food was great!

The Tattooed Moose is located on Morrison Ave. and we had heard talk.  The rumors. Whatever you have heard about this place is probably all correct.  Even Guy Fieri adored the Famous Duck Club Sandwich.  Check it out...HERE!

Yep.  He actually visited this place.  And, the mister is a huge Guy Fieri fan and decided to follow suit.  I can't actually repeat his comments about his lunch.  Let's just say that he compared his lunch to some major, top-of-the-line experiences!  Pretty lip smackin'.

A triple decker sandwich filled with duck confit, apple smoked bacon, hickory smoked cheddar, on sweet Hawaiian bread, with red onions, lettuce, tomato and garlic aioli.

The place is definitely unique.  I can't say that I have ever had lunch while being surrounded by animals, stuffed and hanging on the walls.  It had an Alaskan, ski-snack-shack sort of feel.  The mister felt right at home (or, at least, back in his college days) as he checked out this...

I did enjoy my grilled tomato and cheese sandwich but this place is definitely not for the vegetarian-at-heart!

The service was great.  The food was quick.  The atmosphere is definitely unique!  Stop by The Tattooed Moose.  Eat some duck fat fries and try a Famous Duck Comfit Club Sandwich. Maybe you'll run into Guy Fieri?

Hope you are enjoying an incredible week-end. Happy Saturday from Charleston Treasures!
